My name is Amani Theophilus, and I am a community educator from Tanzania dedicated to empowering rural women who are facing challenges related to marriage, inheritance, and land disputes.
I have been actively providing education through social media platforms, where I share knowledge on women’s rights, family issues, and legal awareness. Through this work, I have interacted with many women who are seeking guidance but lack access to proper legal information and support.
While online platforms have allowed me to reach many people, I have realized that there are still thousands of women in rural areas who cannot access the internet or legal services. These women are often left vulnerable, unaware of their rights, and unable to defend themselves in matters related to family and property.
This is why I am raising funds to expand my work from digital platforms into rural outreach programs across Tanzania, where I will directly reach communities in need.
My mission is to provide legal education, awareness, and basic counseling support to rural women who are facing:
Marriage and family conflicts
Inheritance disputes
Land ownership and property rights challenges
Lack of access to legal information and guidance
I aim to bring knowledge directly to communities that are often left behind.
WHAT WILL I DO WITH YOUR SUPPORT
With the funds raised, I will:
1. Travel to rural areas across approximately five regions in Tanzania
2. Conduct community seminars and awareness sessions
3. Educate women on their legal rights in marriage, inheritance, and land matters
4. Provide counseling and guidance to vulnerable women
5. Distribute printed educational materials in local language
6. Collaborate with local leaders to strengthen community awareness
MY EXPERIENCE
I have already been engaging with communities through social media, where I consistently share legal and family education content. Many women reach out to me seeking advice and clarity on their situations, which has shown me the urgent need for direct, in-person outreach in rural communities.
This experience has strengthened my commitment to expand this work beyond online platforms and reach those who cannot access digital information.
FUNDING GOAL
The total amount I am raising is $3,500 (approximately 9–10 million Tanzanian Shillings).
This will cover:
1. Transportation to rural regions
2. Accommodation and food during outreach
3. Printing and distribution of educational materials
4. Seminar organization and logistics
5. Communication and coordination costs
6. Emergency and field expenses
