Our vision is to establish a community bakery that produces and sells fresh, high-quality bread at affordable prices. Bread is a daily necessity in almost every household, making it one of the most reliable and essential products in the market. By focusing primarily on bread production, we can serve local families while creating meaningful employment opportunities for unemployed youth.
This bakery will not only provide affordable food but will also create direct jobs for local residents who will be involved in baking, packaging, sales, delivery, customer service, and business operations. As the business grows, we plan to expand into additional communities through a franchise model, creating even more jobs and opportunities for young people.
We have already taken important steps toward making this vision a reality. We have conducted local marketing efforts, engaged with community members, and spoken with nearby kota delis, convenience stores, and local shops that have expressed interest in purchasing bread from us. The response from the community has been overwhelmingly positive, and there is strong support for this project.
To successfully launch the bakery, we need approximately R150,000 to cover:
- Commercial baking equipment and machinery
- Rental deposit and operating premises
- Initial stock and ingredients
- Packaging materials
- Marketing and promotional activities
- Operational expenses for the first three months
- Staff training and employment costs
