PAD A GIRL CAMPAIGN

PAD A GIRL CAMPAIGN

Every month, millions of girls and young women experience menstruation, yet many still face shame, stigma, discrimination and lack of access to safe menstrual hygiene products and WASH facilities. For a girl, missing school simply because she has her period should never be normal.
The PAD A GIRL Campaign is changing this reality. We work with school-going and out-of-school adolescent girls, young women and mothers to provide practical menstrual health education, promote hygienic and dignified menstrual management, and increase access to reusable sanitary pads, clean water, sanitation and hygiene facilities.
But we know that lasting change requires everyone. We engage boys, men, parents, teachers and community leaders to challenge harmful myths and stigma and create communities where menstruation is understood, respected and supported. Through Sanitation Health Clubs, menstrual health sensitization, reusable pad training and sustainable WASH interventions, girls gain the knowledge, confidence and resources they need to stay healthy, stay in school and pursue their dreams.
We began this work in Wakiso District and are committed to expanding the campaign to other districts across Uganda, reaching more girls who need support.
Your Support Can Change a Girl’s Story
Your contribution can help a girl access menstrual hygiene products, learn how to manage her period safely, remain in school and experience menstruation without shame.
Together, we can replace stigma with knowledge, exclusion with dignity, and missed opportunities with hope.
