Across urban and peri-urban centers in Zimbabwe, severe and frequent municipal water supply disruptions force residential households, primary schools, healthcare clinics, and commercial facilities to rely heavily on secondary water storage systems—such as overhead polyethylene tanks and underground concrete reservoirs.
However, when water sits in unmaintained storage vessels over time, it rapidly accumulates thick mud, algae, toxic bio-films, and dangerous pathogenic bacteria. Uncleaned tanks transform safe borehole or municipal water into an active vector for deadly waterborne diseases, including cholera and typhoid outbreaks.

Hydro-Clean Solutions Pvt Ltd is an established Zimbabwean water hygiene and environmental sanitation enterprise. We provide non-chemical deep cleaning, pressure descaling, pipeline disinfection, and mobile water quality verification. Our mission is to restore clean, safe drinking water to everyday storage infrastructure.
Why We Need International Support
To rapidly deploy across high-density communities, schools, and local healthcare centers, our team must operate as a fully self-contained, mobile unit. Local power outages and weak water pressure on project sites make standard household equipment ineffective.
We are raising $15,000 USD to acquire heavy-duty, autonomous equipment that will allow us to operate anywhere, regardless of grid power or water supply constraints:

9 HP Petrol Commercial High-Pressure Washer ($750): A heavy-duty 250 Bar / 3600 PSI unit that strips bio-films and heavy sludge using water pressure alone—requiring zero site electricity.
5.5 kVA Heavy-Duty Site Generator ($700): Powers submersible pumps, blowers, and site floodlights during off-grid operations.
Submersible Slurry Water Pump ($400): Heavy 1.5 kW unit with 50mm lay-flat discharge hose for rapid evacuation of wastewater, silt, and sludge from deep tank bottoms.
7m Extension & Compact Entry Ladders ($500): 2x 7m heavy-duty aluminum extension ladders plus compact fiberglass internal entry ladders for safe access into confined spaces.
10m Steel-Braided Washing Cables & Rotary Nozzles ($250): Extended high-pressure washing lines and specialized rotary cleaning heads for deep commercial reservoirs.
Safety Gear, PPE & Testing Kits ($900): Confined space gas monitors, safety harnesses, respirators, and digital water testing meters for immediate post-cleaning verification.
