I am reaching out with a humble request for help for my family during one of the most difficult seasons we have ever faced.
After losing my job, I struggled for some time to find another source of income. During that period, my wife and I had no choice but to borrow money from different people and take on bank loans to keep our family going. Much of what we borrowed was used to pay for our children’s education, while the rest helped us cover essential household expenses.
Today, the financial pressure has become overwhelming. Every day, we receive calls and messages from banks and people we owe money to. It is extremely difficult to live under this constant pressure while also trying to provide for our children.
Thankfully, I recently found a new job, and although the income is not much, I am truly grateful to be working again. However, a large portion of our income goes toward repaying our debts. After making those payments and buying basic groceries, there is very little left to carry us through the month.
Our greatest hope is to become debt-free so that we can finally use our income to cover our family’s monthly needs, provide for our children, and begin rebuilding our lives.
We have calculated that we need R130,000 to clear our outstanding debts and give our family the opportunity to start over financially. We also hope to eventually return to medical aid, which is important for our family’s security but is currently another expense we cannot comfortably afford.
We are not asking for an easy life. We are simply asking for a chance to breathe, catch up, and rebuild.
