Dear Friends,
As you have surely heard by now, on Thursday the 23rd of May a devastating fire broke out and destroyed most of our beloved Moshav Meov Modiim (The Moshav). Among the properties that were completely burnt down were those of Leah and Michael (z”l) Golomb, and Elnatan and Chanita Golomb. Leah’s house has also been home to her son Hudi in recent years. There was only 15 short and pressured minutes to evacuate, and although we are very thankful that everyone escaped with their lives, unfortunately all their worldly possessions are gone.
In addition to this unfathomable tragedy, Leah is a kidney transplant patient and has lost her husband holy Michael Golomb to cancer only four years ago. She has recently gone through health complications resulting in multiple hospitalisations over the last few months.
Elnatan and Chanita have not only lost their beautiful home that Elnantan built with his own hands, their possessions and all their three children’s things, but also all of Chanita’s natural skin care business has gone up in flames.
We are turning to you, our friends and communities, to help to rebuild and support this special family through these challenging times.

כפי שבוודאי כבר שמעתם ביום חמישי ה23 למאי , פרצה אש הרסנית והרס את רוב מושבנו האהוב מושב מבוא מודיעים. בין הבתים שנשרפו לחלוטין היו אלה של לאה ומיכאל (ז”ל) גולומב, ושל אלנתן וחניתה גולומב. גם יהודה אחד הבנים של לאה גר בבית איתה. היה להם רק 15 דקות קצרות ולחוצות לצאת, ולמרות שאנחנו מאוד אסירי תודה שכולם נמלטו עם חייהם, לצערנו הרב כל רכושם נשרף לחלוטין.
בנוסף לטרגדיה הבלתי נתפסת, לאה היא מושתלת כליה ואיבדה את בעלה מיכאל מסרטן לפני ארבע שנים בלבד. לאחרונה ללאה היו סיבוכים רפואיים וכתוצאה אשפוזים מרובים.
אלנתן וחניתה ושלושת ילדיהם לא רק איבדו את ביתם היפהפה, שאלנתן בנה במו ידיו, רכושם וכל חפציהם, אלא גם את כל העסק הפרטי של חניתה עלו בלהבות.
אנו פונים אליכם, חברינו וקהילותינו, כדי לעזור לבנות ולתמוך במשפחה המיוחדת הזו בזמנים מאתגרים אלו.
