Rebuilding My Poultry Farm After Heavy Losses. From 480 Losses to a Strong Comeback

Rebuilding My Poultry Farm After Heavy Losses. From 480 Losses to a Strong Comeback

I would like to one day reach national commercail poultry farming and possibly international.
However, one recent batch of 550 cockerels resulted in 480 mortalities due to severe management and environmental challenges. Shortly after, I also lost 130 out of 200 broilers. That period nearly collapsed my entire operation.

Despite the losses, I have not given up.

I have taken time to reassess my biosecurity measures, improve my brooding system, and seek better veterinary guidance. Now I am ready to restart — but I need support to stabilize the next batch properly.

I am seeking GHS 5,500 to:

Purchase 200–250 day-old chicks

Provide quality feed from starter to grower stage

Ensure proper vaccination and medication

Upgrade brooding and sanitation systems to prevent future outbreaks

This support will not just restart a farm — it will restore a livelihood and rebuild a dream.

Every contribution, no matter how small, brings me closer to a stable and sustainable poultry business.

Thank you for believing in small-scale agriculture in Ghana.
