🇺🇸Help Disabled U.S. Veterans with Housing, Mobility & Caregiver Support. Restore Independence for Wounded U.S. Veterans | Operation Restore Independence

They Fought for Us. Now They Fight to Simply Live.

Sergeant Michael Thompson* once carried 80 pounds of gear across desert terrain without hesitation. He led his unit through danger. He came home with a Purple Heart.

But he also came home without the full use of his legs.

Today, his biggest battle isn’t overseas — it’s getting from his bedroom to his bathroom.

The doorway in his house is too narrow for his wheelchair.
The shower isn’t accessible.
His wife has become his full-time caregiver.
Their savings are nearly gone.

And Michael is not alone.

Across the United States, more than 1 million severely wounded veterans, caregivers, and family members are living with the lasting physical and emotional impact of military service. These are men and women who stood for us — and now struggle daily with mobility, chronic pain, PTSD, and financial hardship.

They don’t want pity.

They want independence.

💔 The Hidden Battle at Home

Many wounded veterans face challenges most Americans never see:

  • Homes that aren’t wheelchair accessible
  • The high cost of adaptive vehicles and mobility equipment
  • Caregivers forced to leave jobs to provide full-time support
  • Mounting medical bills and long-term rehabilitation costs
  • Isolation, depression, and loss of purpose

Pride keeps many from asking for help.
But the need is urgent — and growing.

🇺🇸 What Your Donation Will Do

Your gift helps restore more than physical space.
It restores dignity.

Your support can help provide:

  • 🏠 Accessible home modifications
  • ♿ Mobility and adaptive equipment
  • 💙 Caregiver assistance and respite programs
  • 🩺 Rehabilitation and wellness services
  • 🎓 Reintegration and family support resources

When a ramp is installed, a veteran regains freedom.
When adaptive equipment is delivered, a caregiver breathes easier.
When financial stress is reduced, a family stabilizes.

This isn’t charity.

It’s responsibility.

Organizations have done incredible work helping wounded veterans rebuild their lives. But the demand still outweighs available resources.

There are veterans right now waiting.

Waiting for a home they can move freely in.
Waiting for equipment insurance won’t fully cover.
Waiting for someone to step up.

That someone can be you.
