A Future Was Built… Then Lost Overnight
Since 2022, GIC SOLIDAH has been changing lives in Yaoundé with one powerful belief: disability should never define a person’s future.
Through a free training center, 90 young people with disabilities gained life-changing skills in information technology—skills that opened doors to independence, dignity, and opportunity. For many, this was their first real chance to build a future.
But today, that future is in danger.
When the Lights Went Out, So Did Their Hope

In May 2025, constant electrical instability destroyed the entire computer system that powered the training center. Every screen went dark. Every lesson stopped.
The classrooms that once echoed with learning are now silent.
Yet outside those doors, the need is growing. Applications from vulnerable, out-of-school youth continue to rise—young people searching for hope, but finding closed doors instead.
Why Your Donation Matters Right Now
This is more than a temporary setback. Without urgent support, dozens—soon hundreds—of young people risk being left behind, without skills, without opportunities, and without a path forward.
Your donation can change that.
By choosing to donate to charity today, you are giving more than money—you are restoring access to education, rebuilding confidence, and helping young people reclaim their independence.
What Your Support Will Provide
To reopen the center and resume training, we urgently need:
- Laptop and desktop computers to teach essential digital and professional skills
- Voltage regulators to protect equipment from further electrical damage
- A generator to ensure learning continues despite power outages
Each contribution, no matter the size, helps rebuild a space where futures are created.
Real Impact, Proven Results
GIC SOLIDAH is not just an idea—it’s a proven solution. The 90 young people already trained are living proof that opportunity changes lives.
With your help, this impact can continue—and grow.
Be the Reason Hope Returns
Right now, empty classrooms are waiting to be filled again. Dreams are waiting to be restarted.

Together, We Can Rebuild
When you support this mission, you are not just helping a center—you are investing in human potential, in resilience, and in a future where no one is left behind because of disability.
Give today. Restore hope. Change lives.
They Didn’t Lose Hope. The System Failed Them.
In Yaoundé, Cameroon, there is a place that used to change lives.
Not with speeches.
Not with promises.
But with something simple—and powerful:
A computer. A skill. A chance.
GIC SOLIDAH wasn’t built to inspire people.
It was built to save them from being forgotten.
Recognized officially since 2004, this organization has spent years doing what many only talk about—lifting young people with disabilities out of isolation and into independence.
Between 2022 and 2025, something remarkable happened.
90 young people—many rejected by traditional systems—were trained in digital skills: office work, graphic design, IT maintenance.
They didn’t just learn.
They transformed.
They went from depending on others…
to building something for themselves.
Then Everything Collapsed
In May 2025, the entire system failed them.
Not because they lacked motivation.
Not because the program didn’t work.
But because of something most of us take for granted:
Electricity.
Unstable power destroyed every computer in the center.
Every screen went black.
Every lesson stopped.
Every dream… paused.
Walk into the center today, and you’ll feel it immediately.
The silence.
Empty chairs.
Dead machines.
A place that once gave purpose—now frozen in time.
The Cruelest Part
The demand didn’t stop.
It got worse.
Young people are still coming—every single day—asking for help.
Some dropped out of school.
Some have no support.
Some have already been told by society that they don’t matter.
And now, for the first time, GIC SOLIDAH has no choice but to turn them away.
Not because they don’t care.
But because they can’t.
This Is Not a New Idea. It Already Works.
This is where most people misunderstand.
This is not a risky project.
This is not “maybe it will help.”
It already did.
The model is proven. The impact is real. The structure exists.
They are ready to relaunch “Inclusion Numérique 2026”—a program that aims to train 100 more young people in high-demand digital skills by 2027.
But they are missing one thing:
The tools.
What They Need to Restart Lives
To reopen the doors, they urgently need:
- Functional laptops and desktop computers
- Voltage regulators to protect equipment from power surges
- A generator to keep classes running despite outages
This entire restart costs just €8,000 (≈ 5,200,000 CFA).
That’s it.
Eight thousand euros stands between:
- A dead training center
and - 100 young people gaining a future
Let’s Be Honest
People talk a lot about “changing the world.”
This is what it actually looks like.
It’s not glamorous.
It’s not trending.
It’s not viral.
It’s quiet work.
But it’s real impact.
Because when you give someone a digital skill, you don’t just help them survive—you give them a way out.
This Is Your Moment to Act
Right now, there are young people waiting in Yaoundé.
Not waiting for sympathy.
Not waiting for pity.
Waiting for a chance that already proved it can change their life.
And here’s the truth:
If this center doesn’t come back—
those opportunities disappear with it.
