Hi, my name is Yana and I am 16 years old. I am the eldest of 5 children. And I want to help my family's financial situation.
My dad has always been an important person in my life. He was the one that supported me, a comfort person, protected me, taught me sports, went through with me when I had cramps (Dysmenorrhea), his always been there for me. But just recently, my dad was caught having an affair by my mom. Honestly, I didn't want to believe it at first. It happened way too suddenly. And what more the person he had an affair with was a woman I had a good relationship with. Ever since I found out, I've just always been anxious, sad, mad, disappointment, my emotions are swirling to the point it makes my chest ache.
Since forever, my dad has always been the one that managed the family's financial needs (e.g. paying for rent, buying groceries, school), while my mom was the one that saved up money for the family for important events. This massive change has cost us a lot.
When my dad got caught, he got injured really badly. Therefore, his in the hospital as of the moment, healing. This injury and unethical action has caused for our family to be under debt (because our school is was who payed for my dad's surgery). All because of his actions he has caused for the family to break and suffer a lot, mentally especially. I'm not mad at my dad, but I am disappointed. This issue has been brought up so much times by my mom to him before, but he always denied that he had an affair, even convincing me. I didn't believe my mom at first… but here we are now struggling. My mom is left with 5 kids to take care of, a house to keep, and a school to pay for.
I know my mom can't handle all of it. That's why I want to help and made this campaign here. Hoping that I can get the support I need. So please help me. Any amount I will be happy with, because I want to keep our home, I want to stay in the school I am in now because it is one of the most prestigious schools in Cebu, and I want my siblings to be happy. My mom has mentioned that if we won't be able to gain enough money we'd have to separate as siblings and I really don't want that. I want to stay as a whole family.
So please. Please help me.
