Mmbando Orphans Charity (MOC) is a charitable initiative dedicated to improving educational opportunities for orphaned and vulnerable children. The organization seeks to mobilize resources, engage communities, and work with partners to ensure children have access to quality education.

To build a generation of educated, empowered, and self-reliant orphaned and vulnerable children.
Mission
To improve access to education for orphaned and vulnerable children through educational assistance, mentorship, and community support.
Project Background
Many children in Kilimanjaro Region face educational barriers due to poverty, orphanhood, and vulnerable family situations. Lack of uniforms, school supplies, and educational support contributes to absenteeism and school dropout. This project seeks to address these challenges through targeted educational assistance.
Goal
To improve access to primary education for 140 orphaned and vulnerable children in Kilimanjaro Region.
Target Beneficiaries
140 children, with 20 children selected from each district: Moshi District, Moshi Urban, Hai, Siha, Rombo, Mwanga, and Same.
Project Activities
Identification of beneficiaries; procurement and distribution of uniforms, shoes, school bags, and learning materials; mentorship sessions; school monitoring visits; progress reporting; donor communication.
Expected Outcomes
Improved school attendance, reduced dropout rates, better academic performance, increased confidence among beneficiaries, and stronger community engagement in children's education.
Monitoring and Evaluation
Progress will be monitored through school attendance records, academic performance reviews, beneficiary tracking, and periodic reporting to stakeholders and donors.
Sustainability Plan
The project will seek long-term partnerships with donors, local communities, schools, volunteers, and corporate sponsors. As resources grow, the program will expand to other regions of Tanzania.
Project Duration
The project will commence in July 2026 when schools reopen and will continue based on available funding and donor support.

Estimated first-year budget: USD 16,100 (approximately TZS 41.9 million, subject to exchange rate fluctuations).
