Help Mikaeel Take Steps Towards Independence
From the moment Mikaeel entered this world, his journey has been anything but ordinary. Born unexpectedly in the back seat of our car on the way to the hospital, he arrived as a tiny, beautiful baby who instantly captured our hearts.
What should have been a joyful beginning quickly turned into every parent's nightmare. Just hours after his birth, Mikaeel's blood sugar levels dropped dangerously low, and he was transferred to another hospital for urgent care. During this time, he stopped breathing and suffered a severe lack of oxygen to his brain. Doctors later told us that the extent of the injury was so significant that they could not determine whether it occurred during birth or afterward. We were warned that if he survived, he might never be able to do anything independently.
Mikaeel spent the first six weeks of his life in hospital, fighting a battle no newborn should ever have to face. Every day, I sat by his bedside from morning until night, praying for strength, healing, and a miracle.
Today, Mikaeel has been diagnosed with Dystonic Cerebral Palsy (CP). Despite the challenges he faces daily, he continues to show incredible determination, resilience, and courage. He works hard in therapy and continues to inspire everyone around him with his fighting spirit.
We are raising funds to help provide Mikaeel with the specialised care, therapy, and mobility equipment he needs to improve his quality of life and support his journey toward greater independence. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help us give him access to opportunities that can assist him in reaching milestones that many of us take for granted.
Thank you for taking the time to read Mikaeel's story, for sharing our hope, and for helping us give him every possible chance to thrive
