WeBUILD TANZANIA FOUNDATION (WBTF) is a Tanzanian non-profit organization dedicated to empowering communities through economic and social development, education, health awareness, advocacy, and community transformation programs. Working with children, women, youth, and populations in need to improve their lives by providing immediate support through education, access to resources, skills training, self-care, and opportunities for economic growth, while fostering long-term community development. Children are among the most vulnerable members of society who continue to face challenges related to child protection and welfare, including the following:
▪ Physical and emotional abuse
▪ Neglect and exploitation
▪ Lack of awareness about their rights
▪ Limited access to reporting and protection systems
▪ Lack of guidance and parental support
▪ Lack of safe spaces for expression and support
▪ Limited access to quality education, healthcare, and counselling services
▪ Unsafe environments at home, school, or in the community
▪ Failure to understand their responsibilities and moral values
Without intervention, these challenges affect children’s mental health, growth, education, confidence, and future contribution to national development. Protecting and educating children today contributes directly to building a safer and stronger tomorrow. We aim to contribute to the protection and empowerment of children through increased awareness of child rights, responsibilities, and strengthened community- based child protection mechanisms.
