Project Description: Together to Get Her
Together to Get Her is a community-based empowerment initiative located in Koloin, Ngora District, Eastern Uganda. Our mission is to improve the lives of women, youth, and vulnerable community members by providing practical skills, resources, and opportunities that promote self-reliance and economic independence.
Many individuals in our community face challenges such as poverty, unemployment, and limited access to vocational training. To address these challenges, our project provides donated clothing, tailoring training, and access to sewing machines. Through hands-on skills development, participants learn tailoring and garment-making, enabling them to generate income, support their families, and contribute positively to their communities.
Our training program equips beneficiaries with valuable vocational skills while fostering confidence, creativity, and entrepreneurship. By creating a supportive learning environment, we help participants build a pathway toward sustainable livelihoods and long-term economic stability.
The funds raised will play a vital role in expanding and sustaining our impact. Donations will be used to purchase additional sewing machines so that more trainees can participate in the program, support daily operational activities, cover rental costs for our training space, and provide meals for trainees during training sessions. These resources are essential for maintaining a safe, productive, and accessible learning environment.
With your support, Together to Get Her can reach more people, strengthen livelihoods, reduce poverty, and empower individuals to create brighter futures for themselves and their families. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us build a stronger, more skilled, and more resilient community in Koloin and beyond
